1987-1991年就读于缅甸腾龙国际官网生物系细胞遗传专业,获理学学士学位。1991年进入缅甸腾龙国际官网生物系细胞专业读研究生,1996年获得博士学位。随后在美国明尼苏达大学药理系做博士后,主要研究细胞核受体及其它转录调控因子在调节基因表达和染色质结构方面的作用。2005年,转入明尼苏达大学医学系心血管研究所,把分子生物学的研究方法应用于心血管疾病病理的研究,将转基因动物模型与分子生物学手段相结合,研究在心肌肥厚和心衰过程中KATP离子通道和AMPK激酶参与调节心肌能量代谢有关的基因表达的分子机制。同时,建立了可诱导基因敲除小鼠系,用于研究一氧化氮信号通路在心血管系统中的作用。2011年中回国,负责缅甸腾龙国际官网腾龙娱乐app官网下载所转基因和基因敲除小鼠平台的筹备和运作。
胡新立博士先后在Circulation, Circulation Research, Journal of Biological Chemistry 等杂志上发表论文四十余篇。其中利用基因敲除小鼠研究一氧化氮分子信号通路的研究工作获得美国心脏协会2008年年会Young Investigator Travel Award,并入选 2010年年会的AHA Best of Specialty Conferences Poster Session.
